The total steel import volume of the United States may reach 32.626 million tons in 2021

In 2021, the products with significant growth in steel imports from the United States are expected to include hot-rolled plate (129%), hot-rolled coil (103%), coated plate (73%), oil and gas steel (69%), slitting plate (63%), cold-rolled strip (45%), hot-dip galvanized strip (35%), heavy section steel (34%), hot-rolled reinforcement (29%), mechanical pipe (25%) and reinforcement (22%), The largest import source countries of finished steel products from the United States are expected to be South Korea (2.805 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 39%), Japan (1.07 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 40%) and Turkey (1.027 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 83%).
